Bomb scare empties New York City’s Penn Station

A bomb scare emptied Pennsylvania Station on Sunday and disrupted service on trains and city subways for about an hour.

The busy commuter hub was evacuated after someone threw a backpack at an Amtrak agent and said it was a bomb, said Marissa Baldeo, a spokeswoman for New York City Transit. The threat was a false alarm, and service on all lines was restored at about 1:25 pm (local time).

Sarah Swain, an Amtrak spokeswoman, said service was suspended because of police activity and declined to discuss details.

The incident came days after the latest bombing attack in London, which prompted New York police to start random inspections of subway riders’ bags.

After evacuating Penn Station, police sealed the Eighth Avenue entrance with yellow tape and moved everyone across the avenue to the west side.

The incident was over as quickly as it began. One minute, camouflage-clad soldiers were shouting, “Penn Station is closed indefinitely,” and the next minute they got the all clear and started letting people into the station.

Travellers seemed to be taking the disruption in stride.

Tim Allen, a Londoner headed from New York to Boston, said he has endured similar false alarms recently in London.

“This is the second time this has happened in two and a half weeks to me,” he said.

Why ? Why i introduce this News for you ? because i am in NewYork right now ? No, it’s because we’re going to the Robert Moses Beach (Suggestion by BKO.) and when we are almost buying the package ticket in the line on penn station, the America Army run out and broadcast, “For security reasons,penn station are now closed. All trains,subways are stop. Please find the nearest exit and … … … ” I am really scared. I am curious that why they are no one listen to the broadcast, with “Attention” i think it’s should be important but no one cared.I am not saying that i have a better listenning or something like that but i think it’s a kind of trainning.With scout’s experience , i will pay attention to the broadcast even i am talk to others.But this time when i pay attention to the broadcast and see the soldiers with guns went out. I really worry about there are bomb that going to exploring and scare me out of my wits.It’s a very very import memory for me in NewYork.

And then we cant go to the beach , we pretent there are nothing happened and took the bus to the SOHO with our beach-suit. And they start shopping.

I am really bored when they are shopping. I think i should better go to the mesuem but there is no bus or subway that can take me to it so i give up. But i think it really waste a lot of time. I should decide to go to mesuem last night.After that we went to wendy’s hamburg and ate dinner, and i took bko,inmore,paula to the broklin br with the last path that Peter show in his trip.It’s really a good place for dating.It’s a pity that i have nobody to date here :~ *sigh*.
